Nice take on the AK47.  Seen on Kanye’s blog. Get it here.

auto repair

It’s a long story, but when I was moving recently my car took some damage while parked on the street. A friend of a friend runs his own shop, Opher Auto Wurx and he did the body work for me in like three days.

You can’t tell that anything ever happened and I had a bit of exposed metal+scratches in the clear coat which was bad news. I highly recommend Chris’ work, plus he let me poke around, check out his works in progress, and his SUV sized paint booth.

Chicago hit 30 degrees today! It feels like summertime with a positive wind chill. Just wanted to share with those of you on the West Coast…..

customer service

It’s funny/sad because it’s true. This one goes out to At&T cable which has the worst ‘Customer Service’ department I have ever dealt with. Yes, including the geniuses at Comcast. Via Marriedtothesea.

3-d is staging a comeback

It’s not a joke either. After seeing the point at which computer animation has gotten it’s no shock that this was the next logical progression for demanding an increase in ticket prices. Great article about the man behind the push for this technology in Business Week. Read it here.

hip cards

buck

I hate getting stock cards that are meant to display my ‘unique-as-a-snowflake’ emotions. There are a few places that I go to, among them PaperBoy and that place across the street from Pearl Art Supply in Chicago (forget the name), but Elsewares has a decent online collection.

I love the Dutch and their quirky approach to singing songs in English. That accent is almost as charming as the British, but still below that of an Aussie. This is an old song that will get stuck in your head for days. It’s so nerdy every once in a while I play it just to laugh out loud.

keeping it basic

norsea

I don’t like throwback 80s styling all that much, but apparently it can be done in a modern and clean way, case in point: Norsea Industries. These Brits have their work cut out for them (no pun intended) launching their first collection this Spring,  influenced by classic Northern England workwear. Whatever that means. Via Acquire.

In need of positive reinforcement? I suggest ordering these, placing them into a blender and then using them to sprinkle over your favorite dessert. The effect will be similarly mind-numbing as listening to these CDs. Via Justin at TrashAudio.
