At $2,800 items like this define ‘Limited Edition.’ Not sure what this actually does but still kind of want one? Me too…..Check out the video below for how a lower-end model functions. I assume the higher end would follow suit in terms of the input/response relationship.

Either way it’s stuff like this that convinces me I need a machine shop, or at least access to a laser-cutter+cnc. That being said I still wouldn’t be able to play one like it’s an instrument due to my painful lack of rhythm. Via IA’s killer twitter stream.
This must have taken 4-ever to cut up and snych to the music but it works so well….Via DailyWhat.

Yes this is real, and No, it’s not available via legal means of obtaining .mp3s. It’s not as holistic from the standpoint of a 1:1 merge between two pieces of work compared to the Grey Album, but it’s solid. I recommend it if you happen to be looking for a new spin on some old rap before picking up the Wu Massacre album.
This is the music video for Nobody Beats The Drum. It’s astounding to me that this is actually a stop motion piece comprised of 4085 photos as opposed to being computer animated. It syncs perfectly to the music and was worth the countless hours it must have taken to capture enough images. The making of video is a piece of work to boot. Via TodayandTomorrow.
And the ‘Best Random use of Bruce Willis’ award goes to….

Well, at least a free listen of the album featuring (smong others) Snoop Dogg and The Lebanese National Orchestra for Oriental Arabic Music. Courtesy of NPR of all places online….

Interval Studies by Tristan Perich is a series of different sound installations. What I can appreciate is the construction of grids of speakers, each emitting a single 1-bit tone with a different pitch. It functions on a unique level in regards to an artist statement, but from an aesthetic standpoint it’s really nice stuff to work from. Via TodayandTomorrow.

If you haven’t played Beatles Rock Band it’s worth it to unlock these eight chapter animations done by MK12. Not sure if they did the killer title intro as well, but browse Vimeo to see them all if you can’t earn them on your own. BTW, if you can’t your gaming skills are in the negative….just saying what we are all thinking.

Nice effects, a bit over-glossy but since that was the intent it works.
